Fedir Urdyuk was born on March 26, 1935, in the village of Skulyn, Kovel District, Volhynia, into a large peasant family. His father and mother were Christian Baptists.
He graduated from the Lutsk Pedagogical College, music department.
He worked as a teacher in the village of Myzove, Starovyzhivsky district. He was fired from his job because of his religious beliefs.
After his dismissal, he returned to his native village of Skulyn. Later, he worked in Kovel in one of the organizations.
He was a choir director at the Evangelical Christian Baptist Church in Krychevychi. He organized string music clubs. He wrote poetry.
After freedom of religion was established, he published them in Christian periodicals such as Volyn Christian and Voice of Hope. In particular, he co-authored the collection of Christian poetry Reaching the Sky (2018, Lutsk). He is remembered as a talented musician and teacher.
He played many instruments (bayán, accordion, violin, guitar, trumpet, etc.). He made his own string instruments, even a violin.
He died on April 16, 2020.
