About Us

“Demands of the Time” is an almanac of modern Ukrainian literature, focused on the work of poets and prose writers, and provides pages for the artistic endeavors of talented authors. The editors’ aim is to publish a literary collection (exclusive prose and poetic works, translations from Russian, short stories, diaries). These are works devoted to the themes of glorifying the Lord, love for the Motherland, and the war in Ukraine. The authors made it their task to awaken national consciousness, to defend the truth of real events in Ukraine in the conditions of war, to provide objective information to Russian-speaking readers about what is actually happening. The almanac was published in Ukrainian for the first time. The editorial board plans to continue this project. The almanac “Demands of the Time” combined poetry and prose of different authors – by age, profession, field of interest, cities and countries where their creativity developed. Someone has already published several books, someone has only recently seen the light of the first poetic swallow. Nevertheless, readers of the almanac will have a unique opportunity to delve into the work of twenty-one authors.

“And he said to them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest” (Luke 10:2).

We do what is in our power! Together with you, we can do much more. Pray for us and support the literary projects carried out by the editorial group “Demands of Time”. We pray for you and certainly need your prayers!

Each of us is simultaneously a reaper, a sower, and a warrior in the fields of the Gospel. Each one – in the calling in which the Lord of the harvest has called them! Each one – in the place where God wanted to place them. The goal of our Lord is that we go and bear fruit, and that our fruit remains.

Christ says: “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you” (John 15:16).

Let us be faithful servants of the Lord of the harvest!

About Literary Ministry

Literary ministry is God’s mission. Literary ministry is more than serving through words. It is serving through both word and deed! It is sowing, a contribution to the present and the future.

Let us not hide from our children what we have the privilege of personally participating in. May our testimony be a good example for those whom the Lord will yet send to His harvest, who in their time, through His grace, will continue the work of saving human souls! The Lord is coming!

Let us remember the words that Mordecai conveyed to his relative Esther at a special time for the people of Israel:
